Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior .Net / C# Developer to join our engineering team in Edison, NJ. This is a long-term engagement focused on building and maintaining high-performance backend services and streaming applications for a major digital media platform. The ideal candidate will have between 6 and 10 years of professional experience in software development, with a deep focus on the Microsoft technology stack and cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using C#, .NET Core, and .NET 5+ to support high-volume media operations and digital streaming services.
- Architect and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices that serve as the backbone for digital platforms, ensuring low latency and high availability.
- Collaborate closely with onsite product owners, system architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Execute full-lifecycle software development activities, including system analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and automated deployment.
- Manage data modeling and performance optimization within SQL Server, including the creation of complex stored procedures and indexing strategies.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve critical issues in production and staging environments, performing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and technical demos.
- Drive continuous improvements in system scalability and performance, particularly for workloads involving high-concurrency media streaming.
- Maintain high code quality standards through rigorous peer reviews, adherence to SOLID principles, and the implementation of automated testing frameworks.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET frameworks (.NET Core / .NET 5/6/7/8).
- Proven expertise in building ASP.NET Web APIs and distributed microservices architectures.
- Strong proficiency with Entity Framework (EF) Core for ORM and data access.
- Advanced SQL Server skills, including query tuning, performance monitoring, and database design.
- Experience integrating message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS for asynchronous communication.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including Git version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is highly preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
