Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer with specific experience in FHIR to join our remote team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining applications that support healthcare interoperability, ensuring seamless data exchange within the US healthcare ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#, .NET Core, and a deep understanding of FHIR standards and healthcare data formats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust .NET-based applications and APIs that facilitate healthcare interoperability.
- Implement and manage FHIR R4/R5 resources for efficient clinical and administrative data exchange.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and other external healthcare systems.
- Work extensively with HL7 standards (including FHIR and HL7 v2) and healthcare data formats such as JSON and XML.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, security protocols, and data privacy requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, perform unit testing, and support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and optimize application performance for scalability and efficiency.
- Participate actively in system design and architecture discussions, and contribute to technical documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, and ASP.NET Web API development.
- Hands-on experience with FHIR implementations, with a preference for FHIR R4.
- Solid understanding of key FHIR resources (e.g., Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, Condition).
- Experience with RESTful services, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
- Proficiency in SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience working with JSON, XML, and healthcare data transformations.
- Familiarity with cloud services on Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Healthcare Domain:
- Understanding of US Healthcare workflows, including provider, payer, claims, and clinical data processes.
- Experience with EHR/Epic/Cerner integrations is a significant plus.
- Experience with SMART on FHIR is preferred.

- This is a fully remote position.
- The contract duration is approximately 6 months.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
