Job Description

We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer with expertise in FHIR to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining .NET-based applications and APIs that support healthcare interoperability. You will be responsible for implementing and managing FHIR R4/R5 resources for clinical and administrative data exchange, building and consuming RESTful APIs for integration with EHRs and external healthcare systems, and working with HL7 standards (FHIR, HL7 v2) and healthcare data formats (JSON, XML).

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with HIPAA, security, and data privacy requirements, collaborating with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions, performing code reviews, unit testing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines. You will also troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Strong experience in C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API. Hands-on experience with FHIR implementations (R4 preferred). Solid understanding of FHIR resources (Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, Condition, etc.). Experience with RESTful services, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect. Proficiency in SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases. Experience with JSON, XML, and healthcare data transformations. Familiarity with Azure / AWS cloud services. Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Healthcare Domain: Understanding of US Healthcare workflows (Provider, Payer, Claims, Clinical data). Knowledge of EHR/Epic/Cerner integrations is a plus. Experience with SMART on FHIR is preferred.
