Job Title: .NET Developer with FHIR Experience
We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer with specific experience in FHIR implementations to join our team for a remote contract position. This role is crucial for developing and enhancing our healthcare data integration solutions.
Role Overview:
The .NET Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that leverage FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange. This includes working with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, and ensuring seamless integration with existing healthcare systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust .NET applications using C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, and ASP.NET Web API.
- Design and build FHIR-compliant interfaces and services, with a preference for FHIR R4.
- Work with various FHIR resources such as Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, and Condition.
- Implement secure and efficient RESTful services, utilizing OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
- Manage and query data using SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases.
- Perform data transformations using JSON, XML, and healthcare-specific formats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions with existing healthcare workflows.
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps for efficient development and deployment.
- Familiarize with cloud services such as Azure or AWS.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience in C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, and ASP.NET Web API.
- Proven hands-on experience with FHIR implementations (R4 preferred).
- Strong understanding of FHIR resources (Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, Condition, etc.).
- Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful services, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
- Solid experience with SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases.
- Expertise in JSON, XML, and healthcare data transformations.
- Familiarity with Azure / AWS cloud services.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, and Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Healthcare Domain:
- Deep understanding of US Healthcare workflows, including Provider, Payer, Claims, and Clinical data processes.
- Experience with EHR/Epic/Cerner integrations is a significant plus.
- Experience with SMART on FHIR is preferred.
