Job Title: .NET Developer with FHIR Experience

We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer with specific experience in FHIR implementations to join our team for a remote contract position. This role is crucial for developing and enhancing our healthcare data integration solutions.

Role Overview:

The .NET Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that leverage FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange. This includes working with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, and ensuring seamless integration with existing healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust .NET applications using C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, and ASP.NET Web API.
  • Design and build FHIR-compliant interfaces and services, with a preference for FHIR R4.
  • Work with various FHIR resources such as Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, and Condition.
  • Implement secure and efficient RESTful services, utilizing OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
  • Manage and query data using SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Perform data transformations using JSON, XML, and healthcare-specific formats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions with existing healthcare workflows.
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps for efficient development and deployment.
  • Familiarize with cloud services such as Azure or AWS.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Extensive experience in C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, and ASP.NET Web API.
  • Proven hands-on experience with FHIR implementations (R4 preferred).
  • Strong understanding of FHIR resources (Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, Condition, etc.).
  • Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful services, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
  • Solid experience with SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Expertise in JSON, XML, and healthcare data transformations.
  • Familiarity with Azure / AWS cloud services.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, and Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Healthcare Domain:
  • Deep understanding of US Healthcare workflows, including Provider, Payer, Claims, and Clinical data processes.
  • Experience with EHR/Epic/Cerner integrations is a significant plus.
  • Experience with SMART on FHIR is preferred.

Consultants without FHIR experience will not be considered for this role. This is a remote position with a 6-month duration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US healthcare systems and a proven track record of implementing FHIR standards.

Compensation & Location
