Position Summary
Software People Inc. is looking for a seasoned .NET Developer with strong Oracle PL/SQL skills for a long-term engagement with our direct client in Albany, NY. This role involves the full software development life cycle (SDLC) and requires a developer who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. The project duration is expected to be 12 to 24+ months, offering significant stability and the potential for further extensions. This is an onsite position from day one, requiring the candidate to be physically present in Albany.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC) for enterprise-level applications.
- Develop and maintain web applications using Microsoft Visual Studio 2017+, MVC, .NET Core, and C#.
- Write clean, efficient code utilizing JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, XML, and WCF.
- Design and manage Oracle database components, including tables, indexes, constraints, and triggers.
- Develop complex stored procedures and packages using PL/SQL.
- Perform data migration and conversion tasks as required by project needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within application reports using Crystal Reports version 10+.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other programmers and consultants.
- Manage source code using repositories such as TFS, Tortoise SVN, or Visual SVN.
- Coordinate with IT Service Management (ITSM) for incident resolution and service requests.
- Participate in bridge calls to diagnose and debug critical production issues.
Required Technical Skills
- 84 months of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, and Web API for n-tier deployment.
- 84 months of experience in Oracle database design and PL/SQL coding.
- 84 months of experience with front-end technologies including HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- 84 months of experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into application logic.
- 60 months of experience with MVC 5 or later versions.
- 48 months of experience developing reports with Crystal Reports and integrating them into .NET apps.
- 36 months of experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010 or later.
- 24 months of experience handling Health Care data under HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI) regulations.
Professional Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate a high level of integrity and professional conduct. Due to the nature of the data involved, experience with HIPAA compliance is mandatory. Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
