Position Summary
We are seeking an elite Senior .NET/SQL Developer for a high-stakes contract position within a premier Hedge Fund based in New York City. This is a hybrid role that requires a deep understanding of financial markets and a proven track record in the asset management space. The successful candidate will be a hands-on developer with over a decade of experience, capable of navigating the complexities of fixed income, equity, and credit derivatives. This role is not for generalists; it requires specific, recent experience within a Hedge Fund environment, focusing on front and middle-office systems that drive investment analysis and risk management.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the full-stack development of mission-critical applications, including database schema design in SQL Server and service layer implementation in C#.
- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using Vue.js to provide traders and analysts with real-time data visualization.
- Work directly with senior business stakeholders to distill complex requirements into actionable software solutions.
- Manage and delegate development tasks to a shared pool of offshore resources, ensuring code quality through rigorous peer reviews.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues within the C# and SQL application code to maintain 24/7 system availability.
- Utilize cutting-edge AI coding tools, such as Cursor, to accelerate the development lifecycle and improve code efficiency.
- Oversee the entire project management lifecycle, from initial prioritization to final User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Technical and Domain Expertise
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on C# web development in financial services.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL Schema Design and Stored Procedure development, specifically within SQL Server environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of asset classes including CLOs, bank debt, and credit derivatives.
- Experience designing complex data flows to and from third-party vendor systems.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, including data pipelines and transformations (dbt), is highly beneficial.
- Strong QA skills with a commitment to total quality management and the ability to lead the business through the UAT process.

You will work alongside other onsite Senior Developers in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment. Special Requirements
Visa: USC/GC only. Domain: Strict Hedge Fund experience required (no retail/commercial banking). Interview: Hybrid/NYC. Must have experience with Fixed Income and Credit Derivatives.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
