Job Summary

Scalable Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled NetIQ Network Analytics Engineer for an onsite contract position in Mount Laurel, NJ. This role requires a candidate with over 10 years of experience in network analytics and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain NetIQ Network Analytics in on-premise and hybrid environments.
  • Integrate NetIQ analytics with various network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Collect data using protocols and methods such as SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow/IPFIX, syslogs, and APIs.
  • Build and customize dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and reports for network performance, capacity planning, and fault analysis.
  • Enable proactive monitoring and anomaly detection to identify network degradations, congestion, and outages.
  • Correlate analytics data with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow and Remedy for effective incident and problem management.
  • Perform root cause analysis using real-time and historical network analytics data.
  • Collaborate with Network Operations Center (NOC), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Network Engineering teams to improve Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and overall service availability.
  • Tune analytics models, thresholds, and baselines to minimize false positives and enhance accuracy.
  • Support audits and compliance reporting related to network availability and performance metrics.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks and knowledge documentation for the NetIQ environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in network analytics and monitoring.
  • Proven experience with NetIQ Network Analytics or similar network performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Experience with data collection methods like SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, and Syslog.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $90,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
