Job Description:
The Network Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with various network devices and technologies, including switches, routers, and firewalls, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure and manage network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Develop and implement network security measures to protect against threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet business requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for network improvements.
- Manage OSPF and BGP routing protocols in a large enterprise environment.
- Lead the migration of SonicWALL NSA firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, OR a high school diploma/equivalency and ten years of experience. (Note: or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to ten years.)
- Demonstrated effective writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze requirements, evaluate technical options, and assess feasibility.
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with customers and staff.
- Ability to meet priorities and goals.
- Ability to work independently and in small teams.
- Attention to detail and consistency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and customer staff.
- Experience configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Experience managing OSPF and BGP routing protocols in a large enterprise environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in migrating SonicWALL NSA firewalls to Palo Alto firewalls.
Preferred Consultant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Experience with Cisco, Nexus and ACI.
- Experience with F5 Big-IP LTM.
- Experience working with multi-customer data center networks.
- Industry certifications from any of the above-mentioned manufacturers.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
