Role Overview
Sureminds Solution is seeking a highly experienced and senior-level Network Engineer for a critical onsite position in Richmond, Virginia. This role is designed for a professional with over 14 years of industry experience who can lead complex network initiatives and manage enterprise-grade telecommunications infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of network and internet activities, ensuring that all systems operate at peak performance to meet and exceed customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage and oversee all Telecommunications, Network, and Internet activities for the organization.
- Lead the Network and Telecom group to ensure operational excellence and high availability.
- Utilize advanced network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or failures.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate system documentation, including detailed network diagrams using Visio.
- Oversee the procurement process for telecom equipment and services, ensuring license compliance and inventory accuracy.
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and vendors within the telecom supply chain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and business departments to implement strategic projects.
- Perform deep-dive network analysis, tracking bandwidth usage and traffic types to optimize backbone connections.
- Administer and support SDWAN infrastructure to enhance connectivity across remote and branch offices.
- Implement and manage security protocols using Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ISE/PortNox for Network Access Control (NAC).
- Design and support cloud networking environments with a specific focus on Microsoft Azure integrations.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with Cisco Switching and Routing (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE level knowledge).
- Hands-on expertise with Meraki Wireless solutions and Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Proven track record in SDWAN administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies, including GRE and IPSEC tunnels.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting for network automation.
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed environments and remote branch offices.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
