Role Overview
TEK Inspirations LLC is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Network Engineer / Computer Support Specialist for a critical short-term contract engagement in Old Westbury, NY. This position is 100% onsite and requires a professional with a deep understanding of hybrid infrastructure, cloud administration, and enterprise-level security protocols. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and availability of critical systems, ensuring that backup configurations, directory services, and virtualization platforms are optimized and secure.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Veeam Backup Management: Configure and monitor backup jobs for virtual machines, physical servers, and mission-critical systems. You will be responsible for defining retention policies, managing local and cloud repositories, and ensuring encryption compliance. Regular testing of restore procedures at the file, VM, and application levels is mandatory.
- Active Directory (AD) Administration: Oversee the domain structure and Organizational Unit (OU) design. This includes managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user provisioning/deprovisioning, and service account dependencies. You will also monitor domain controller health and replication routines.
- Azure & Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and Identity and Access Management (IAM). Configure Conditional Access policies, Azure AD Connect sync, and MFA settings. For M365, you will handle licensing, Exchange Online mail flow, and SharePoint/OneDrive storage limits.
- Virtualization (VMware & Nutanix): Maintain vCenter and ESXi host layouts, including HA/DRS rules and datastore policies. Manage Nutanix clusters, Prism Central dashboards, and node inventory. You will also handle patching, upgrades, and performance metric reviews.
- Security & Network Management: Implement Zscaler policies for web filtering and firewalls. Manage Automox for device targeting and patch scheduling. You will also be responsible for system diagrams, network maps, and maintaining password vault entries.
Professional Requirements
Candidates must possess strong troubleshooting skills for blocked traffic and system failures. The role requires the ability to work a standard 9-5 schedule, with flexibility for nights and weekends as project demands dictate. Training will be provided for specific internal workflows, but a high level of baseline technical proficiency in the mentioned stacks is expected. This is a high-impact role requiring immediate contribution to ongoing infrastructure projects.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $95,000 – $135,000 per year (Estimated)
