Role Overview: Network Engineering Manager
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Network Engineering Manager to spearhead the architecture and operational governance of our enterprise-grade network infrastructure. This is a pivotal leadership role based in Boston, MA, designed for a technical expert who can drive global SD-WAN standards and manage complex hybrid/multi-cloud networking environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of a global network that spans on-premises data centers and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Leadership
- Lead the global SD-WAN architecture, specifically focusing on Palo Alto ION platforms, to define standards for topology, routing, and resiliency.
- Drive the Network Access Control (NAC) strategy using Cisco ISE, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles and secure device onboarding.
- Design and govern hybrid and multi-cloud networking architectures across AWS (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway) and Azure (ExpressRoute).
- Establish and maintain global hub-and-spoke and transit architectures to balance network scalability with operational resiliency.
- Define enterprise segmentation strategies across campus, data center, and cloud environments, including VPC/VNet design and IP addressing schemes.
- Oversee cloud contact center solutions, including Zoom Phone and SIP call flows, managing provisioning and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with security and infrastructure teams to support disaster recovery planning and regulatory compliance.
- Provide high-level technical oversight and mentorship to engineering teams to enhance overall operational maturity.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture and design.
- Expert-level knowledge of SD-WAN, specifically with Palo Alto ION platforms and global architecture models.
- Deep expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching, including complex BGP routing environments and high-density switch fabrics.
- Strong proficiency in Cisco ISE for NAC, including 802.1X and MAB authentication models.
- Proven expertise in cloud networking components such as AWS Transit Gateway and Azure VNet Gateways.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and define rigorous operational standards.
- Active industry certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are highly preferred.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year
