Job Title: Network SME Engineer with CCIE certified
Hallmark Global Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network SME Engineer with a mandatory CCIE certification for an onsite contract role in New York City, NY or Atlanta, GA. This position requires an in-person interview, and candidates must be local to NY or GA.
Job Description:
The Network SME Engineer will be responsible for developing solutions involving Campus, Data Center, and Cloud environments with IPV4/IPV6. The role requires identifying communication scenarios, creating, executing, and overseeing testing of data gathering, aggregation, and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and hands-on experience with IPV4/IPV6 environments, strong knowledge of Networking Routing and Switching, complex BGP and OSPF troubleshooting, and significant experience in migrations.
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Networking (Routing and Switching), Cloud, and IPV6.
- Excellent knowledge of network protocols: BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree protocol, Multicast.
- Design and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista Network platforms and protocols.
- IP Routing Platforms: ISR, ASR1K, ASR9K, Catalyst 9K, Nexus9K.
- Multicast: IGMPv2/v3, PIM, Static RP, RP-Anycast.
- Overlay technologies like IPSEC, DMVPN, VXLAN.
- Cabling and optics: 10/25G/40G/50G/100G Break out cables, break out panels.
- Ansible knowledge is a significant plus.
- IPV6 Experience.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in enterprise network environments/customers.
- Strong proficiency in Routing & Switching, with expertise in routing protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot overall networking and network connectivity to IoT devices/sensors.
- Knowledge on Cisco ISE, TACACS, DNS/DHCP Functioning is important.
- Mandatory: Cisco CCIE Lab Certification (Routing & Switching or Service Provider).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions for Campus, Data Center, and Cloud networks with IPV4/IPV6.
- Identify communication scenarios between end and edge devices.
- Create, execute, and oversee testing of data gathering, aggregation, and analytics capabilities.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with IPV4/IPV6 environments.
- Strong knowledge of Networking Routing and Switching.
- Complex BGP, OSPF troubleshooting.
- Significant experience in network migrations.
