Job Overview:
SightSpectrum LLC is seeking an experienced OBIA SME (Oracle Business Intelligence Applications) to join our client’s team in Atlanta, GA. This is a long-term contract role focused on leading the migration of critical Oracle OBIA analytics components. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting data models, ETL flows, dashboards, and subject area transitions as part of a larger migration initiative from CEI to CCI environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of Oracle OBIA analytics components from the CEI environment to the CCI environment.
- Provide expert support for data models, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the migration process.
- Oversee and manage the transition of ETL flows, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
- Support the migration and optimization of dashboards, ensuring they meet business requirements and provide valuable insights.
- Facilitate seamless subject area transitions, ensuring all relevant data and reporting capabilities are moved effectively.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and IT stakeholders, to ensure project success.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Document all migration processes, configurations, and changes for future reference and knowledge transfer.
- Contribute to the overall strategy and planning for data analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep knowledge of Oracle OBIA architecture and data models: A comprehensive understanding of how OBIA is structured and how data is organized is essential.
- Strong expertise in OAS/OBIEE, RPD modeling, and analytics development: Proven experience in developing and managing Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) or Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) environments, including proficiency in RPD (Repository) modeling and creating robust analytics.
- Familiarity with OBIA-related ETL tools (Informatica, ODI): Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools commonly used with OBIA, such as Informatica or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), is required for data manipulation and integration.
- Understanding of Oracle ERP data structures: Knowledge of the underlying data structures within Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is beneficial for integrating and analyzing financial and operational data.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills: The ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions, while working effectively with diverse teams, is crucial.
- 7-10 years of experience with Oracle OBIA/OBIEE: Extensive hands-on experience in implementing, managing, or migrating OBIA or OBIEE solutions.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with OBIA integrations and data models: Significant practical experience in integrating OBIA with other systems and working directly with its data models.
- Previous experience in large-scale OBIA or ERP migrations is highly preferred: Prior involvement in major migration projects involving OBIA or ERP systems will be a significant advantage.
