Job Title: Oil & Gas IT Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas IT Project Manager for an onsite role in Tulsa, OK. This is a 6-month contract position focused on IT infrastructure projects within the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a variety of sophisticated IT projects with significant organizational impact.
- Understand business requirements, project risks, and the project lifecycle.
- Apply expertise and leadership skills to advise staff and resolve issues.
- Measure and report project performance to the leadership team.
- Cultivate relationships with clients and company partners.
- Manage IT infrastructure projects and programs, including core hosting, corporate and field network, and cloud implementations.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably leading projects that work with field/operations.
- Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously, both large and small, in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Extensive knowledge of plan development and execution, scope planning, schedule development, cost estimating, budgeting, and control, communications planning, risk identification, and risk response control.
- Preferred: Data Bricks & Big Data Analytics experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in IT-related field or engineering.
- Minimum of eleven (11) years of related business experience OR minimum seven (7) years of experience in project management with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in information technology.
- PMP certification is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills.
- Developed conceptual and practical expertise in own field.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure projects and programs.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
About the Role:
The Oil & Gas IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT projects within the oil and gas sector. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. You will work closely with field and operations teams to ensure IT solutions align with business needs and drive efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, project management best practices, and the unique challenges of the oil and gas industry. PMP certification and a proven ability to manage complex projects are essential for this role. Experience with Data Bricks and Big Data Analytics is a plus.
