Job Description: OpenText ApplicationXtender Specialist

This role supports Banner Document Management and OpenText AppEnhancer upgrades, patches, and break/fix work. Key initial priorities include resolving misfires with the new application, upgrading Xtender/AppEnhancer, managing Patch 28, and supporting report translations. Heavier workload on the AppEnhancer side; lighter on Banner. SQL Server expertise required.

SKILLSET / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AppEnhancer / ApplicationXtender
    • Experience with upgrades, patching, workflows, indexing, retention, and document lifecycle setup
    • Knowledge of imaging, batch processing, QA, OCR/barcode setup
    • Experience with OTS (Output Transformation Service) conversions and scripting
    • Repository design, performance tuning, and on-prem administration
  • Banner Document Management
    • Understanding of Banner 9, BDMS structure, and integrations
    • Ability to support report translation and workflow alignment
    • Experience with Banner to Enhancer/Xtender upgrade paths
  • Integrations
    • REST/SOAP APIs, ETL/SSIS, custom scripts
    • Native connectors, batch integrations
    • SSO (LDAP/AD/SAML), RBAC, MFA
  • SQL Server
    • Strong SQL, schema management, tuning, stored procedures, triggers
    • Backup/recovery, performance optimization, security management

Compensation & Location

Salary: $80,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
