Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced OpenText Exstream Developer for a critical contract engagement. This role is focused on a large-scale modernization initiative to migrate legacy in-house composition capabilities to the OpenText Exstream platform. The successful candidate will play a lead role in designing, building, and configuring the platform to support a wide range of business needs, including batch processing, real-time communications, and interactive document generation for letters, quotes, and proposals. This is a remote-friendly position based out of New Jersey, requiring a deep understanding of Customer Communications Management (CCM) and cloud integration. You will be instrumental in transforming how our business partners communicate with their customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex customer requirements to design end-to-end solution architectures and integration strategies for OpenText Exstream.
  • Lead implementation teams, including partner resources, to ensure the successful delivery of Exstream solutions according to project timelines.
  • Evaluate infrastructure requirements, comparing cloud versus on-premise solutions, and design high-availability architectures.
  • Install, configure, and tune the OpenText Exstream platform, including components like Design Manager, Communication Builder, and Empower.
  • Orchestrate publishing tasks and optimize logging, fault detection, and error handling to align with client business goals.
  • Integrate Exstream with various delivery mechanisms, including mobile, online, print, and email, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Develop and maintain communication applications using Exstream StoryTeller, ReTouch, and Workshop/Supervisor.
  • Facilitate customer workshops to demonstrate product capabilities and gather detailed functional requirements.
  • Implement secure integrations with CRM systems and custom enterprise applications, including Adobe eSign.

Technical Expertise

The candidate must have 8-10 years of hands-on experience in the CCM space. Deep knowledge of the OpenText Exstream product suite is mandatory, specifically including OTDS (OpenText Directory Services) and OT Notifications. You should be proficient in AWS Cloud Platform services and have a solid understanding of DevOps concepts to support automated deployments. Experience with Python scripting for automation and integration tasks is highly preferred. Familiarity with other CCM products such as xPression, Quadient Inspire, or SmartComm will be considered a significant asset, as it aids in understanding migration complexities from legacy systems. You should also be comfortable with performance tuning and system optimization within the Exstream environment.

Professional Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be interacting with both technical teams and business stakeholders. You must be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, providing technical guidance and training to clients on deployment best practices. Your ability to perform platform performance tuning and troubleshoot complex system issues will be vital for maintaining the stability and efficiency of the Exstream environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-volume, high-impact communication solutions that are central to our client’s digital transformation strategy. You will be expected to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
