Role Overview

Thoughtwave Software and Solutions Inc is seeking a highly experienced Oracle Channel Revenue Management (CRM) Functional Lead for a long-term, remote contract position. This role is critical for a major client in the retail sector, focusing on the implementation and optimization of Oracle CRM modules and custom extensions. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of expertise in Oracle functional consulting, specifically within the retail domain, to lead complex projects and provide strategic guidance. As a lead-level consultant, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that the Oracle suite effectively supports the client’s revenue management and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the functional design and implementation of Oracle Channel Revenue Management (CRM) solutions tailored for the retail industry.
  • Act as the primary functional lead for the Custom COOP Portal extension, ensuring seamless integration with existing Oracle systems and external partner interfaces.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather complex requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications and process maps.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on Product Data Hub (PDH) and its critical integration points with CRM and supply chain modules.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial requirement analysis and solution design to rigorous testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Configure Oracle CRM modules to meet specific business needs, including trade management, claims, deductions, and settlement processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive gap analysis and propose innovative solutions to bridge functional gaps using standard Oracle features or strategic custom extensions.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles, manage defect resolution, and provide high-quality training to end-users on new system functionalities.
  • Manage relationships with technical development teams to ensure that functional designs are accurately translated into technical code.
  • Stay updated on the latest Oracle Cloud and EBS updates and industry trends to provide proactive recommendations for system improvements and digital transformation.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle Functional Consultant, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior capacity.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle Channel Revenue Management (CRM) is mandatory, including hands-on configuration and implementation experience.
  • Proven track record of working within the Retail industry; this is a non-negotiable requirement for this role due to the specific domain complexities.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Custom COOP Portals and their extensions within the Oracle ecosystem.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH) is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage remote teams and interact effectively with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable business solutions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Oracle certifications in CRM, SCM, or Financial modules are a strong plus.

This is a long-term contract opportunity scheduled to commence on March 2, 2026. The position is 100% remote, offering the flexibility to work from any location within the United States while contributing to a high-impact project for a major retail entity. Compensation & Location

Salary: $160,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
