Role Overview: Oracle CCB Consultant
Qualis1 Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CCB) Consultant for a critical 6-month engagement in San Francisco, CA. This role is designed for a technical expert who possesses a deep understanding of the Oracle Utilities framework and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality testing and consulting services within the utility sector. As a senior consultant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end quality assurance lifecycle, ensuring that complex CCB implementations meet stringent business requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Oracle CCB Expertise: Leverage extensive experience with Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CCB) to lead testing initiatives for large-scale projects. This includes a deep dive into CCB EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
- Test Strategy and Execution: Develop, document, and implement comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and robust test cases for various applications within the Oracle ecosystem. Your focus will span functional, integration, regression, performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Technical Validation: Validate APIs, backend services, and map layers through a combination of manual and automated test cases. You will be expected to perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to guarantee consistent application performance across all user environments.
- Defect Management: Utilize industry-standard tools such as JIRA and HP ALM to identify, document, and track defects. You will perform root cause analysis and lead defect triaging sessions to ensure timely resolution and maintain project momentum.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all testing activities comply with QA best practices, established testing standards, and specific utility industry regulations. You will provide regular test progress reports and key performance metrics to project stakeholders.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a dedicated testing team, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and effective collaboration. You will coordinate closely with internal developers, business analysts, third-party vendors, and offshore units to execute test cycles smoothly.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage in client discussions, requirement analysis, and testing sign-offs to ensure that the final product aligns perfectly with business expectations and operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of professional experience in IT consulting and quality assurance.
- Specialized expertise in Functional Testing for Oracle Utility Customer Care and Billing.
- Proven ability to manage complex testing lifecycles in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Special Requirements
Must have experience with CCB EDI and utility industry regulations.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
