Job Title: Oracle & DB2 Database Administrator (DBA)
We are looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator with extensive experience in both Oracle and DB2 databases. This is a long-term contract role with a direct client, UPRR (Union Pacific Railroad Corporation).
Role Overview:
This is a standard skillset role for a DBA with expertise in Oracle and DB2. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in core DBA fundamentals and a proven track record of delivering projects with zero defects.
Must-Have Skills:
- DB2
- Oracle
- SQL
- Liquibase
Good-to-Have Skills:
- SQL+
- Data Analytics
- Java 17
- Cobol
Desired Profile:
- Very strong in Oracle database skills are essential.
- Very strong in core DB2 database skills are essential.
- Very strong in core DBA fundamentals.
- Strong experience with data structures.
- Very good analytical skills and problem-solving ability are a must.
- Very good communication skills.
- Knowledge on Agile development methodology is a plus.
- Knowledge in Java and Cobol is a plus.
- Strong background and culture of delivering projects with first time right / zero defects in production.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
