Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to join our team. This role requires a strong background in managing large Oracle databases and supporting complex environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various Oracle versions and related technologies, including RAC, ASM, and Golden Gate. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months, requiring 3 days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle databases (18c, 19c) on IBM AIX, Linux, and SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems.
  • Apply PSU patches and perform database upgrades to 19c.
  • Implement and troubleshoot Golden Gate for replication and data integration.
  • Configure and manage multi-node RAC systems on ASM.
  • Perform upgrades and migrations of large databases across data centers.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Manage ASM instance creation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide expert-level support for Oracle architecture and database operations.
  • Collaborate with large teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Proficiency with Oracle 18c and 19c.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM AIX, Linux, and SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC and ASM.
  • Experience with Golden Gate implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to perform database upgrades and migrations.
  • Skilled in performance tuning and bottleneck identification.
  • Experience managing large teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent understanding of Oracle architecture.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA (3x/week onsite)

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
