About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Transformation Consultant to lead an assessment engagement for migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle Fusion Cloud. This strategic role involves close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders to evaluate the current ERP landscape, determine cloud readiness, and formulate a clear, actionable roadmap for modernization. The ideal candidate possesses deep functional expertise in Procurement, Inventory, and Costing modules, coupled with exceptional consulting, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead ERP discovery sessions and assessment workshops with diverse business and technology teams.
- Thoroughly evaluate the existing Oracle EBS environment, including business processes, configurations, customizations, integrations, and reporting structures.
- Perform a comprehensive fit-gap analysis, comparing current Oracle EBS functionalities with Oracle Fusion Cloud capabilities to pinpoint transformation opportunities.
- Analyze procurement, inventory, and costing processes within distribution operations to identify areas for optimization and standardization.
- Assess the complexity of customizations, integrations, and data migration challenges associated with cloud migration.
- Identify opportunities to leverage advanced features like automation, AI capabilities, and embedded analytics within Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Define the future-state architecture and develop a high-level ERP transformation roadmap.
- Provide strategic recommendations on migration approaches, potential risks, and key implementation considerations.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and advisory insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate intricate ERP environments into clear, actionable transformation strategies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8-12+ years of extensive Oracle ERP experience, with a strong emphasis on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Deep functional expertise in Oracle EBS modules such as Procurement, Inventory, and Costing, preferably within supply chain or distribution contexts.
- A solid understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM capabilities and its underlying architecture.
- Proven track record in conducting ERP assessments, discovery engagements, or providing transformation advisory services.
- Demonstrated experience in performing fit-gap analysis, solution evaluation, and planning for ERP modernization.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present to executives.
- Ability to translate complex technical ERP environments into business-focused insights and strategic recommendations.
- Experience with Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud transformations is highly preferred.
- A consulting background supporting enterprise ERP or cloud transformation initiatives is considered a significant advantage.
