Oracle EBS HRMS Consultant – Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oracle EBS HRMS Consultant to join our dynamic team in Oracle, Arizona. This is a pivotal role designed for a professional who possesses a deep understanding of the Oracle E-Business Suite and a proven track record in managing complex HRMS environments. As a consultant, you will be at the forefront of our implementation and support efforts, ensuring that our human resources technology infrastructure is robust, efficient, and fully aligned with our strategic business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution, providing high-level functional expertise across the entire Oracle HRMS landscape.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Module Configuration and Support: You will be responsible for the hands-on configuration and ongoing support of various Oracle EBS HRMS modules. This includes, but is not limited to, Core HR, Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), Payroll, Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB), Self-Service Human Resources (SSHR), and iRecruitment. Your expertise will ensure these modules function seamlessly to support our global workforce and meet local compliance standards.
  • Business Requirement Gathering: Act as a primary liaison between the HR business units and the IT department. You will lead workshops and interviews to gather comprehensive business requirements, translating them into detailed functional design documents (BR100, MD050) that guide technical development and system enhancements.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Oversee the end-to-end testing process. This involves developing comprehensive test scripts, coordinating System Integration Testing (SIT), and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users to ensure that all solutions meet the defined requirements and are free of defects before deployment.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with technical developers and database administrators to design and implement customizations, extensions, and integrations. You will provide the functional guidance necessary to ensure that technical solutions are viable, sustainable, and maintainable within the Oracle EBS framework.
  • Production Support and Issue Resolution: Serve as a subject matter expert for production issues. You will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system problems, providing timely solutions to minimize business disruption. Additionally, you will drive continuous process improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. You will provide regular status updates, manage expectations, and offer expert advice on best practices for Oracle HRMS utilization to maximize the return on investment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive Oracle EBS Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS HRMS modules is required. You must have a thorough understanding of the underlying table structures and functional flows within the suite.
  • Functional Expertise: Strong knowledge of human resources business processes, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, time tracking, and payroll processing.
  • Implementation Lifecycle: Proven experience participating in full-lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. You must be able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and document functional specifications clearly.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive approach to identifying potential issues and developing innovative solutions. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
