Position Summary: Oracle EBS (R12) Technical Consultant
We are currently looking for a seasoned Oracle EBS (R12) Technical Consultant for a critical project based in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a 100% onsite position requiring a professional with deep technical expertise in the Oracle E-Business Suite ecosystem. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing legacy system data structures, defining conversion strategies, and executing complex data migrations. This role demands a blend of technical prowess in PL/SQL and Unix scripting, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with functional consultants and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of Oracle EBS solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Core Technical Responsibilities
- Architect and implement technical solutions within the Oracle EBS R12 framework.
- Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Utilize Oracle APIs and open interfaces for seamless data integration and migration.
- Design and develop Unix shell scripts for automated data processing and system maintenance.
- Work with Oracle Forms, Reports, and Workflow to customize and enhance system functionality.
- Implement BI Publisher (XML Publisher) reports to meet business reporting requirements.
- Manage large-volume data handling and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Perform performance tuning of SQL queries and PL/SQL code to optimize system response times.
- Customize and debug Oracle Workflow and Concurrent programs to meet specific business needs.
Data Migration and Conversion
- Analyze legacy system data structures to define comprehensive conversion strategies and mapping rules.
- Create and manage staging tables, validation scripts, and automated transformation routines.
- Prepare detailed test cases for dry runs, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Conduct thorough data quality checks before and after migration to ensure accuracy and compliance with business rules.
- Provide critical support during go-live cutover and post-production troubleshooting.
- Develop reconciliation reports to verify the accuracy of migrated data against source systems.
Documentation and Collaboration
- Prepare high-quality technical design documents, including MD50 and MD70 specifications.
- Maintain accurate conversion logs, error reports, and reconciliation sheets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Database Administrators (DBAs) and infrastructure teams on performance tuning and system optimization.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and technical issues to project managers and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with cross-functional business teams to gather and refine technical requirements.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Technical Consultant in Oracle EBS R12 environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix scripting.
- Proven experience in large-scale data migration projects within Oracle EBS.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle standard modules and their underlying table structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work onsite in Cleveland, OH, and adapt to a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with OAF (Oracle Application Framework) is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
