Job Description: Oracle EPBCS Consultant

This role will focus on the projects module within Oracle EPBCS. This role will support a large, transformative program and will be dedicated nearly 100% to project work, unlike the EPCM role, which will split time between project initiatives and BAU support. Similar to the first requisition, the team is targeting a mid- to senior-level candidate. Experience specifically within the EPBCS projects module is key, though the team understands it may be difficult to find someone with experience across all modules.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a core product team member responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the EPBCS Projects module.
  • Lead, support end to end EPBCS Projects implementations and enhancements, including requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post production support.
  • Work closely with 3rd party vendors when required.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for EPBCS Projects planning capabilities, including project forecasting, cost planning, forms, business rules, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Design solutions that maximize Oracle EPBCS out of the box functionality, minimizing customizations and ensuring long term maintainability and upgrade readiness.
  • Evaluate new requirements and determine the best fit between delivered EPBCS capabilities vs. custom solutions, aligning to Oracle leading practices.
  • Partner closely with Finance, FP&A, and Technology stakeholders to translate planning needs into scalable EPBCS product features.
  • Support and enhance integrations related to Projects planning, including inbound and outbound data flows.
  • Participate in monthly Oracle updates by assessing impact, adopting new features where appropriate, and continuously improving the platform.
  • Provide production support, root cause analysis, and proactive platform optimization.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of overall experience
  • 6-8 years of hands-on Oracle EPBCS / Oracle EPM Cloud experience.
  • Expertise in the EPBCS Projects module, with at least one (1) full lifecycle Projects implementation completed.
  • Strong familiarity with Oracle EPBCS out of the box capabilities, especially within Projects planning.
  • Proven experience designing planning solutions that prioritize: Standard forms, dashboards, and workflows, Oracle supported calculation and planning patterns.
  • Familiarity with Project Costing Cloud ERP.
  • Solid understanding of EPBCS application design fundamentals: Dimensional modeling and hierarchies, Security and user access, Forms, dashboards, Smart View, Business rules and calculation logic, Groovy scripting.
  • Experience working in a product team and short term project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional EPBCS modules such as Financials, Workforce, Capital, or Strategic Modeling.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience (preferred) for integrations, orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with EPBCS Data Integration/Data Management and automation concepts.
  • Experience supporting production environments, including incident management and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of Oracle EPM monthly release cadence and feature adoption.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Malvern, PA
