Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in Oracle Financials, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Governance. The ideal candidate will drive enterprise financial system excellence by leveraging core Oracle ERP finance concepts, ensuring robust data governance, and enabling scalable, compliant financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle ERP & Finance

  • Act as SME for Oracle ERP Financials including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Management (CM).
  • Design and implement key Oracle Finance concepts such as:
    • Chart of Accounts (COA) design and structure
    • Ledger, Subledger Accounting (SLA), and Multi-GAAP reporting
    • Legal Entity and Business Unit configuration
    • Intercompany accounting and reconciliation
    • Period close and financial consolidation processes
  • Configure and optimize Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules for accurate financial reporting.
  • Drive financial close automation, reconciliation, and reporting improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and audit requirements.
  • Support multi-currency, multi-org, and global financial operations.

Master Data Management (MDM)

  • Define governance for key financial master data elements:
    • Chart of Accounts (segments, hierarchies)
    • Suppliers and Customers
    • Fixed Assets and Categories
  • Establish data standards, validation rules, and approval workflows.
  • Manage reference data, hierarchies, and cross-system data synchronization.
  • Ensure alignment between finance data structures and business reporting needs.

Data Governance

  • Develop and implement enterprise data governance frameworks aligned with financial systems.
  • Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
  • Ensure high data quality through:
    • Data profiling
    • Data cleansing
    • Ongoing monitoring and controls
  • Implement data lineage, audit trails, and compliance reporting.
  • Establish KPIs for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Finance leadership on:
    • Financial transformation initiatives
    • ERP roadmap and strategy
  • Act as a bridge between business, finance, and IT teams.
  • Conduct workshops on COA design, financial processes, and governance frameworks.

Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead ERP implementations, rollouts, and transformations.
  • Provide mentorship on Oracle Financial architecture and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and data governance maturity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field (MBA/CA/CPA preferred).
  • 12+ years of experience in Oracle ERP Financials.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Chart of Accounts (COA) design
    • Subledger Accounting (SLA)
    • Financial Close & Consolidation
    • Intercompany Accounting
  • Proven experience in MDM and Data Governance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, audit, and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS).
  • Knowledge of Oracle EDM (Enterprise Data Management Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, etc.).
  • Oracle certifications in Financials Cloud or EBS.
  • Experience with global implementations and multi-ledger environments.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
