Role Overview
The Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC) Consultant will be a pivotal member of our enterprise transformation team, focusing on the delivery of high-quality B2B service operations. With a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, the successful candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in field service management and cloud-based logistics. This is a remote-first engagement for a duration of 6 months, with potential for extension based on project milestones. The Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC) Consultant position is a high-impact role designed for a seasoned professional who understands the intricacies of modern workforce management. In today’s competitive landscape, efficient field service is a critical differentiator, and this role is at the heart of that strategy. You will be tasked with not just configuring a tool, but transforming how a global enterprise interacts with its field resources and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Field Service Cloud (formerly TOA Technologies) for complex B2B environments.
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions with business stakeholders to map current-state processes to future-state OFSC capabilities.
- Configure core OFSC modules including Resource Management, Activity Management, Routing, Quota, and Capacity.
- Optimize routing profiles and work zones to maximize technician productivity and minimize travel time.
- Develop and maintain integration points between OFSC and Oracle Service Cloud (B2C), Oracle Fusion ERP, and legacy CRM systems.
- Utilize REST and SOAP APIs to facilitate real-time data exchange across the enterprise ecosystem.
- Design custom business rules and workflow automation to handle exception management in field operations.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide expert-level troubleshooting during the hyper-care phase.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and configuration workbooks.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure on-time delivery and system alignment with business goals.
Technical Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC) configuration and administration.
- Proven track record of integrating OFSC with Oracle CX, Fusion, or E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Deep understanding of JSON, XML, and API-led connectivity for data mapping and integration.
- Expertise in capacity management, quota management, and forecasting within the OFSC framework.
- Knowledge of field service KPIs such as First-Time Fix Rate, Mean Time to Repair, and Resource Utilization.
- Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs and modern integration patterns.
Professional Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Technology, with a significant focus on Field Service Management (FSM).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical executives.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of collaboration via digital tools.
- Prior experience in B2B service domains is mandatory.
The integration aspect of this role is particularly critical. You will work with middleware teams to ensure that data flows seamlessly from the initial service request in the CRM through to the final invoicing in the ERP system. This requires a holistic view of the lead-to-cash process and a granular understanding of how OFSC data structures (like activities and resources) map to other enterprise data models. Furthermore, the consultant will play a key role in change management. Implementing a new field service solution often requires a shift in how field technicians and dispatchers perform their daily tasks. You will be responsible for creating training materials and conducting workshops that help users embrace the new system, ensuring high adoption rates and a successful digital transformation.
