Role Overview
The Oracle Fusion ERP Technical Functional Consultant is a high-impact position designed for a professional who excels at the intersection of business process optimization and technical cloud architecture. As organizations continue to migrate their legacy systems to the cloud, the need for experts who can navigate the Oracle Fusion ecosystem has never been greater. This specific engagement focuses on the Financials suite, requiring a deep understanding of how General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Financial Services modules interact within a global enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of ERP enhancements, bridging the gap between complex financial business requirements and technical cloud solutions. This hybrid role, based in either Dallas, TX or Boston, MA, requires a professional who can navigate the intricacies of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) while providing deep functional expertise in Financial modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical assistance to clients utilizing Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, specifically focusing on the Financials suite.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Financial Services (FSL).
- Analyze system logs and configuration settings to resolve complex platform issues through coordination with other support teams.
- Design, develop, and implement robust integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Coordinate with cross-functional support teams to ensure system stability and high customer satisfaction.
- Manage patch cycles and system updates to maintain security and performance standards.
- Document best practices and contribute to the internal knowledge base for future troubleshooting.
- Respond to business inquiries via email and ticketing systems, clearly explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Assist with configuration changes within Oracle ERP modules to address specific client requirements.
- Identify complex issues that require escalation to senior technical support engineers or development teams.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Proven track record in developing integrations via Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Proficiency in reporting tools including HCM Extracts, BI Publisher (BIP), and OTBI.
- Strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of Oracle database architecture and related technologies.
- Experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred, particularly with FSL, GL, and AP modules.
- Oracle certifications in ERP Cloud, OIC, or OCI are a significant advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of core Oracle ERP Financial modules and their alignment with accounting processes.
Strategic Alignment and Support
Beyond the technical requirements, this role demands excellent communication skills. You will often act as a translator between the IT department and non-technical business users, explaining complex cloud concepts in a way that is accessible and actionable. As a consultant, you are also expected to contribute to the long-term health of the platform by documenting your work, creating training materials for end-users, and staying abreast of the latest Oracle updates and patches. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility of remote work while maintaining the collaborative benefits of being onsite in Dallas or Boston three days a week. The customer is looking for someone who has supported more on FSL, GL, AP Modules for Finance companies in OCI Cloud. Experience in Oracle Integration Cloud is important and should be technical resource in Fusion.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $75 – $110 per year (Estimated)
