Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle JDE World – Product Configuration (Functional) consultant with expertise in SCM and Sales Order Management. This role is crucial for maintaining the day-to-day stability of JDE World applications on the IBM i / AS/400 platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, triaging issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting change management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the day-to-day stability of JDE World applications on IBM i / AS/400 (Tier 0/Tier 1).
  • Monitor PROD alerts, jobs, and interfaces; triage issues, restore service rapidly, and escalate critical alerts per SOP.
  • Provide on-call support, handle incident intake, impact assessment, and customer communications until closure.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for Sev 1/Sev 2 incidents; implement permanent fixes and preventive controls.
  • Support change windows/outages/maintenance, validate post-deploy health, and ensure rollback readiness.
  • Maintain and execute operational runbooks, escalation paths, and first-hour checklists.
  • Track and close related incidents/problems, coordinating with infra, network, DB, and downstream application teams.
  • Produce and distribute daily/weekly/monthly operational reports/dashboards (incidents, trends, SLAs).

Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Mandatory: 10+ years of experience required.
  • Mandatory: JDE WorldSoft A7.3 or onwards versions.
  • Mandatory: JDE World – SVR, DW, VO, PO, UDC, DD, WW, RDA, FDA, SDA.
  • Mandatory: AS400 – DB2/400, SQL/400, SQLRPGLE, RPG, RPOGLE, CLLE, CL.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM i (AS/400) operations and tooling.
  • Ability to analyze and fix issues using CLLE, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE; validate data with SQL400.
  • Experience supporting JDE World modules (Supply Chain/Finance) in production, including job streams, batch runs, and integrations.
  • Comfortable reading logs, job spool files, and system messages to isolate faults quickly.

Functional Skills & Competencies:

  • JDE Functional: WMS, SnD, Finance (advantages).
  • Good-to-Have: JDE product, WMS or PKMS experience.

Tools:

  • ALDON, HAWKEYE, DBU, UCT, JIRA, ServiceNow.

Additional Information:

  • Duration: 6 months contract.
  • Location: Atlanta, GA.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of JDE World and AS/400 environments for production support.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
