Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Kubernetes Engineer to manage and maintain the Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) environment in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role involves creating, managing, and scaling OKE clusters, including node pools and worker nodes. You will be responsible for monitoring node performance, managing pods (creation, updates, deletion, monitoring), and ensuring the security and compliance of OKE environments through network policies, secrets, and Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • OKE Environment Management: Create, manage, and scale OKE clusters, including node pools and worker nodes.
  • Node Management: Manage node pools, including creation, updating, and deletion of nodes. Monitor node performance.
  • Pod Management: Create, update, and delete pods. Monitor pod performance and logs.
  • Deployment Management: Manage deployments, including creation, updating, and rolling back deployments. Monitor deployment performance and logs.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of OKE environments by managing network policies, secrets, and RBAC.
  • Upgrade and Patching: Responsible for upgrading and patching OKE clusters, managing version upgrades, and applying security patches.
  • Integrations: Integrate OKE with other OCI services such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Registry (OCIR), and OCI monitoring and logging services.
  • Tools and Technologies: Utilize OCI console, OCI CLI, Kubernetes CLI, OCI Registry, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience Required: 8-10 years

This is a contract position with an estimated duration of 6 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with a proven ability to manage complex cloud-native environments.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)

Location: Wauwatosa, WI
