Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Payroll & Benefits Techno-Functional Consultant for a long-term, onsite engagement in Houston, TX. This critical role requires a unique blend of deep functional knowledge in Oracle HCM modules and robust technical expertise to support enterprise-scale implementations. As a Techno-Functional expert, you will be the bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that payroll and benefits systems operate with 100% accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the functional and technical support for Oracle HR, Payroll, and Benefits modules within an enterprise environment.
- Configure and manage complex payroll cycles, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and year-end processing.
- Develop and maintain Oracle Fast Formulas to support intricate business logic for payroll and benefits calculations.
- Design and implement technical solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, BI Publisher, and HCM Extracts to meet reporting and integration needs.
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and provide functional workarounds or technical enhancements.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes in a high-stakes environment.
- Manage system upgrades, patch testing, and regression testing to ensure continuous operational stability.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with Oracle Payroll and Benefits modules in a Techno-Functional capacity.
- Proven track record of at least one full-lifecycle enterprise-scale Oracle HR/Payroll implementation.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation and custom development.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud or EBS technical tools, including BI Publisher and Fast Formulas.
- Strong understanding of US Payroll compliance, taxation, and benefits administration standards.
- Ability to translate complex business rules into technical specifications and functional configurations.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Oracle ERP/HCM environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and business executives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year
