Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Oracle PeopleSoft Technical Lead to join our enterprise technology team in Durham, NC. This is a high-impact contract role focused on the PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 environment, specifically within the Order to Cash (O2C) workstream. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical authority for PeopleSoft FSCM modules, providing expert-level production support, leading system enhancements, and ensuring the seamless integration of business processes with technical solutions. This position requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise in PeopleTools and strong leadership capabilities to manage onsite and offshore delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced L2 and L3 production support for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1/9.2 modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Billing & Contracts.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex customizations using the PeopleTools suite, including Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, and SQR reports.
- Perform comprehensive root cause analysis for critical system issues and implement permanent technical fixes to enhance system stability.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and recommend optimal architectural solutions.
- Oversee the entire technical design lifecycle, ensuring that all documentation, unit testing, and system integration testing meet rigorous quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of coordination between onsite teams, offshore developers, and client management to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Manage day-to-day team activities, ensuring high productivity and adherence to process governance and documentation standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for system optimization and automation within the PeopleSoft ecosystem.
Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1/9.2 systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in PeopleTools, specifically Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interface, and SQR.
- Deep functional and technical understanding of the Order to Cash (O2C) business process.
- Proven experience in managing offshore-onsite coordination and leading technical teams in a global delivery model.
- Strong background in troubleshooting complex production issues and performing system performance tuning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PeopleSoft integration tools and APIs.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments (OCI/AWS/Azure).
- Strong documentation skills and experience with formal process governance frameworks.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
