Position Summary

The IT Department is seeking a tactical and strategic Organizational Change Management (OCM) Analyst to join our team in downtown Houston. This role is essential for implementing OCM strategies and tools that support critical change initiatives within our IT organization. As an OCM Analyst, you will focus on driving and managing organizational change within IT projects and operations, playing a key role in our company’s agility transformation and continuous improvement efforts. You will manage end-to-end OCM methodologies, tools, and activities to ensure that our workforce is prepared, willing, and able to adopt new technologies and processes. This is a full-time onsite position requiring a presence in our Houston office five days a week.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive OCM plans, including stakeholder analysis, leadership alignment, and communication strategies.
  • Conduct change impact assessments to identify potential risks and resistance, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Design and deliver engagement plans that foster a culture of transparency and collaboration across the IT organization.
  • Perform training needs analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Establish change measurement frameworks to track adoption rates and the effectiveness of OCM activities, providing regular reports to leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with key stakeholders to drive alignment and commitment to change initiatives.
  • Support the company’s agility transformation by integrating agile principles into change management practices.
  • Manage a portfolio of OCM projects, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within scope.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and empowerment, enabling teams to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Collaborate with IT project managers to integrate OCM activities into overall project plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in IT change management, with at least 2 years specifically focused on IT initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT change initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong understanding of change methodologies and principles (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint for creating professional presentations and Excel for data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply agile principles to change management processes.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications such as Prosci, Certified Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or PMP.
  • Experience in the Utility industry or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Previous experience with training development frameworks like ADDIE or SAM.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean.

Work Environment

This role requires a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently while also being a strong team player. The position is located in downtown Houston and requires a 5-day-per-week onsite commitment to ensure close collaboration with stakeholders and project teams.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
