Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior-level PeopleSoft Consultant to support financial systems at Capital One. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in PeopleSoft tools, Oracle databases, and financial modules, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with PeopleTools 9.1
  • Strong experience with PeopleSoft 8.6
  • Advanced SQL skills (including complex joins and query optimization)
  • Experience working in an Oracle-based data environment

Tools & Technologies:

  • PeopleSoft Application Designer (most critical)
  • Data Mover
  • Oracle Database

Functional Experience:

  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Asset Management
  • Travel & Expense (T&E)
  • Cash Management

Nice to Have:

  • Database/DBA experience (highly preferred)
  • Ability to support backup responsibilities for both PeopleSoft and DBA functions
  • Prior experience with Capital One environments or standards

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and support for PeopleSoft financial modules.
  • Develop and maintain PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PeopleSoft applications and Oracle databases.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Document technical specifications and system configurations.
  • Support backup and DBA functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a PeopleSoft Developer or Consultant.
  • Strong technical skills in PeopleTools, Oracle databases, and SQL.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft financial modules (GL, Asset Management, T&E, Cash Management).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment (3 days onsite).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Special Requirements

Local to VA only, 3 Days Onsite, No OPT

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 per year (Estimated)
