Job Summary:

The agency is seeking a skilled PeopleSoft Financials developer for a critical migration project. This role’s primary responsibilities include analyzing the legacy system built on the .NET framework, reverse-engineering business logic, and extracting critical data, as well as standard PeopleSoft development.

The qualified candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to document and explain the legacy logic to the project team and stakeholders.

Other duties include standard SDLC tasks and other project tasks as needed. Depending on the project phase, some off-hours may be required.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time.
  • Successful candidate is expected to be renewed for FY’27.
  • This is currently a remote position; if it should become hybrid, on-site days will be negotiated.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.

Skills Matrix:

  • PeopleTools Development (8+ years required): At least 2 years of development experience with PeopleTools, specifically PeopleTools 8.59 or higher.
  • Database Experience (8+ years required): At least 2 years of experience with an advanced Oracle database.
  • .NET and SQL Analysis (8+ years required): Ability to read and interpret .NET code (C#, VB.NET) and SQL Server stored procedures.
  • Data Migration (8+ years required): At least 2 years of experience with legacy to PeopleSoft complex data migrations.
  • Public Sector Experience (4+ years preferred): Experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government).
  • CAPPS Financials Experience (2+ years preferred): Experience working with the Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) CAPPS Financials.
  • Jira Experience (2+ years preferred): Experience with Jira.
  • Scrum Framework Experience (1+ year preferred): Experience working with the Scrum framework.

Additional Notes:

  • Candidates with 15+ years of experience and prior State government experience are highly preferred.
  • A Texas candidate is highly preferred.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
