Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with expertise in APM tools to join our team. The role involves implementing performance test plans, strategies, and scenarios aligned with Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). You will be responsible for designing, scripting, and executing various types of performance tests, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements. This is a remote contract position with TCS as the implementation partner.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Performance Testing: Min 12+ years of experience. Strong understanding of Performance Test Planning, Test Strategy creation, and scenario design. Ability to interpret NFRs and translate them into measurable test objectives.
  • Tools: Hands-on expertise with NeoLoad (preferred), JMeter, or LoadRunner.
  • Test Types: Strong experience conducting Load Testing, Stress Testing, Endurance/Soak Testing, Spike Testing, and Scalability Testing. Skilled in configuring test workloads, test data, and execution environments.
  • Analysis & Tuning: Ability to analyze performance results and recommend performance improvements and tuning strategies.
  • APM Tools: Hands-on experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and New Relic.
  • Cloud Environments: Experience executing performance tests in AWS or Azure environments.
  • CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using relevant tools.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated success as a self-starter with strong ownership. Ability to collaborate and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Secondary Skills:

  • Utility domain or Kraken knowledge.
  • Develop Grafana dashboards for performance monitoring.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to building a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, DevOps, and product teams to ensure performance readiness.
  • Drive observability best practices across logs, metrics, and tracing.
  • Proactively communicate risks, requirements, and test outcomes with the project team and leadership.
  • Provide regular status reports, including monthly updates and communication of critical developments.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $65 – $85 per year
