Role Overview
Metrix IT Solutions INC is seeking a seasoned PHP and React JS Developer for a high-impact onsite contract position in Sunnyvale, California. This role is designed for a software engineering professional with over 7 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment. As a core member of the development team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of scalable web applications, ensuring that both backend logic and frontend user interfaces meet the highest standards of performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust backend services using PHP frameworks, with a strong preference for Laravel.
- Develop high-performance, responsive frontend components using React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Architect and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and third-party integrations.
- Manage and optimize relational databases, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL, to ensure data integrity and query efficiency.
- Collaborate with UX designers to translate complex wireframes into reusable React components.
- Implement state management solutions using Redux or the Context API to maintain application consistency.
- Maintain a rigorous CI/CD pipeline using Git and automated deployment tools to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers to uphold coding standards and best practices.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience with a focus on full-stack web technologies.
- Expert-level proficiency in PHP and modern MVC architectures.
- Deep hands-on experience with React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and the broader JavaScript ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and common design patterns.
- Proven track record of building and scaling applications in a cloud-native or enterprise environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with product owners and DevOps teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
