Role Overview: PLM Business Analyst & Functional Tester
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst and Functional Tester specializing in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, specifically Siemens Teamcenter. This role is critical in bridging the gap between complex engineering requirements and robust software solutions. As a Senior PLM BA, you will be responsible for ensuring that our PLM applications meet the rigorous business and technical standards required for high-stakes manufacturing and product development environments.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact
- Requirement Analysis: Deeply analyze business and functional software requirements to create comprehensive test cases and scripts that cover the full spectrum of the product lifecycle.
- Test Strategy Design: Design, develop, and execute functional and regression test plans to ensure system stability after updates or customizations.
- Defect Management: Identify, report, and track software defects using tools like JIRA, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Integration & UAT: Lead system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that the end-to-end processes align with user expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of test results and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies to increase efficiency and software quality.
Technical Expertise and Domain Knowledge
The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in the IT sector, with a heavy focus on PLM projects. Expertise in Siemens Teamcenter is mandatory, as you will be navigating complex data structures, workflows, and access managers within the platform. You should be comfortable working in an Agile or Scrum environment, participating in daily stand-ups, and contributing to sprint planning. Your ability to translate technical jargon into business-friendly language is essential for successful collaboration with cross-functional teams. Furthermore, familiarity with automated testing tools like Selenium or QTP is highly preferred to help transition manual testing processes into more scalable automated frameworks. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining a strong connection to our hubs in Sunnyvale, CA, and Austin, TX.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $168,000 per year (Estimated)
