Responsibilities:
The PostgreSQL DBA will be responsible for managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity. This includes:
- Overseeing the installation and configuration of PostgreSQL instances.
- Designing and managing database architecture, including schemas, tablespaces, and indexes.
- Performing query optimization to enhance database performance.
- Writing and refining complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure efficient database usage.
- Maintaining database security and implementing backup and recovery strategies.
Experience and Education:
- Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA is required.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database architecture principles.
- Experience with query optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with database installation and configuration.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

- This is a contract position with a duration of 12+ months.
- The role is hybrid, requiring some on-site presence in Minneapolis, MN.
