Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically adept Power Automate and Automation Anywhere Unattended Application Support Engineer to join our enterprise automation team. This is a senior-level position requiring a deep understanding of the automation lifecycle, specifically focusing on the administration and optimization of unattended automation schedules and workflows. The successful candidate will work within a complex Microsoft server environment, leveraging Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and multi-bot orchestration to ensure seamless business operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the health and efficiency of our digital workforce, requiring a blend of RPA expertise, server administration, and proactive incident management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unattended Bot Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot unattended Power Automate and Automation Anywhere bots across RDS-enabled Microsoft servers. You will be responsible for optimizing bot concurrency and resource allocation to ensure maximum throughput in multi-session environments.
  • Infrastructure & Server Support: Administer Windows Server environments specifically tailored for automation workloads. This includes managing RDS configurations, performing routine server maintenance, patching, and performance tuning to prevent downtime.
  • Bot Monitoring & Incident Response: Proactively monitor bot performance, health, and queue status. You will investigate and resolve automation failures, timeouts, and infrastructure-related issues, managing the full incident lifecycle using ServiceNow.
  • Automation Platform Support: Provide Tier 2/3 support for Power Automate workflows, connectors, and triggers, as well as Automation Anywhere schedules and devices. You will collaborate with developers to ensure all unattended flows meet enterprise standards.
  • Networking & Security: Troubleshoot network connectivity issues affecting bot execution, including firewall rules, RPC ports, and endpoint access. You will also manage credential vaults and ensure secure communication between bots and external systems.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain detailed runbooks, SOPs, and incident logs. You will work cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, and automation teams to plan platform upgrades and rollouts.

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years dedicated to RPA technologies.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power Automate (Cloud flows, Desktop flows, Unattended execution).
  • Expertise in Automation Anywhere (Control Room, Bot agents, services, and unattended execution).
  • Strong Windows Server Administration skills, including Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for incident and change management.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
  • Knowledge of security protocols, credential management, and audit logging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Power Automate or Automation Anywhere.
  • Experience with enterprise governance frameworks for automation.
  • Exposure to emerging orchestration technologies or Agentic AI.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and documentation.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $135,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
