Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Consultant for a 6-month remote contract. This role requires a senior-level professional with over a decade of experience in data visualization and business intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and automating complex dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. This position demands a deep technical understanding of the Power BI ecosystem, particularly Report Builder, and advanced SQL skills for robust data retrieval and manipulation.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and create sophisticated Power BI reports and dashboards that adhere to data visualization best practices.
- Utilize Power BI Report Builder to develop paginated reports for diverse business needs.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for report writing and data extraction from various sources.
- Automate dashboard updates and data refreshes to ensure real-time or near-real-time reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all visualizations and reports.
- Provide technical guidance on Power BI architecture and data modeling strategies.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
- Expert-level proficiency with Power BI, including advanced features and DAX.
- Extensive experience with Power BI Report Builder for paginated report development.
- Strong SQL report writing experience, including the ability to handle complex joins and stored procedures.
- Proven track record in dashboard creation, automation, and data visualization design.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity.
Interview Process
- Initial screening followed by a comprehensive Video Interview focusing on technical depth and previous project experience.
Special Requirements
USC only; Video interview mode; Remote work; Must have Power BI Report Builder experience.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
