Job Overview:
iFlow Inc is seeking an experienced Power Systems Applications Engineer with Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) expertise for a long-term remote contract position. The role involves administering and optimizing Energy Management Systems (EMS), with a focus on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) or equivalent platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of power system applications, scripting languages, and database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) through application configuration, tuning, and security patching, preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS Platform Software, as well as EMS of equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc.
- Work with Simulated RTU, Simulated IED, and Console.
- Utilize knowledge of ICCP, IEC, DNP3, Modbus, Data Modeling, XML/JSON.
- Operate proficiently in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
- Apply over 5 years of experience in Power system applications including Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency analysis, Load Frequency Control (AGC), and Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) with expertise in model validation event creation.
- Show experience in programming languages for system integration or scripting, such as C, C++, PERL, or similar.
- Utilize SQL & Shell scripting, and the ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.
- Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $100 per year (Estimated)
