About the Role
DC Public Schools (DCPS) is seeking an experienced PowerApps Developer to join their team. This role involves maintaining existing applications and designing, developing, and documenting new projects using PowerApps and the Power Platform suite. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain PowerApps applications, working both independently and as part of a small team.
- Design and implement Power Automate Cloud flows, desktop flows, and business process flows.
- Create and configure workflows, business process automation, and integration solutions using Power Automate.
- Integrate low-code solutions with external systems and data sources.
- Maintain a suite of low-code/no-code QuickBase applications, including customizing HTML pages using both the QuickBase API and the standard interface.
- Maintain existing data feeds to various third-party vendors.
- Create and maintain new ETL processes as necessary.
- Manage workload effectively and assist in troubleshooting and addressing urgent priority requests.
- Priorities will be assigned by the Manager of Applications, with an effort to provide advance notice for new assignments.
- Reasonable timeframes for agreed-upon tasks will be provided.
- Critical tasks will be discussed weekly, and timelines will be agreed upon by the contractor and the Manager of Applications.
Required and Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- A solid understanding of information flow, database fundamentals, and technical requirements is essential.
- Extensive experience with Angular (or another modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.js).
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in optimizing web applications for performance and usability.
- Experience with integrating with third-party APIs.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Work Location Requirements
- The candidate must be willing to work 3 to 4 days on-site at the specified location.
- The final interview will be conducted in person.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 per year (Estimated)
