Job Summary

We have an exciting long-term contract opening for a Product Owner with extensive experience in the Commercial Banking domain. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with the option to work from either Minneapolis, MN, or Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will possess 12+ years of experience, a strong Agile Product Owner skillset, and excellent communication abilities, particularly with remote development teams. This position is crucial for driving product evolution, managing the product backlog, and acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with customers (internal and external), business lines, and Agile teams to drive the evolution of assigned products.
  • Maintain and refine the product backlog, creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on delivering maximum business value aligned with product strategy.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between onshore business teams and offshore Agile teams, ensuring a clear understanding of product vision.
  • Work in a hands-on style with the development team, addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real-time feedback, and answering questions promptly.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to set release dates, determine when sufficient value has been delivered for market release, and communicate trade-offs between schedule, scope, and budget to the organization.
  • Employ product management practices and tactics, including customer research, data and analytics, and market research.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of the Commercial Banking domain.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 12+ years of overall experience.
  • Strong Agile Product Owner skillset.
  • Extensive experience in the Commercial Banking domain.
  • Excellent communication skills, with significant experience working effectively with remote development teams.
  • Ability to collaboratively develop and evolve a product backlog.
  • Ability to develop and articulate a product vision that supports outcomes, value, and prioritization of work.
  • Thorough understanding of the Lean/Agile mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with and empower teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience working with CLM (Customer Lifecycle Management) platforms such as Fenergo.
  • Working knowledge of ALM (Asset Liability Management)/KYC (Know Your Customer) and other regulatory requirements specific to commercial banking.
  • Experience working on transformation projects, particularly those involving migration from homegrown solutions to vendor platforms.

Special Requirements

Hybrid (Minneapolis, MN or Irving, TX), Long-term Contract, Rate: $60/Hr. on C2C.
