Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Owner with strong Pharma Commercial domain expertise to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of Sales Forecasting capabilities and related commercial insights. The role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders (brand/commercial strategy, sales operations, market access) and delivery teams (data engineering, analytics, reporting) to translate forecasting needs into prioritized product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Sales Forecasting and commercial insights.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities in the pharmaceutical commercial space.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, strategic alignment, and technical feasibility.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the delivery teams (data engineering, analytics, reporting).
  • Ensure that the delivered solutions meet the business needs and drive desired commercial outcomes.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in pharmaceutical commercial analytics and forecasting.
  • Mentor and guide team members on product vision and domain expertise.

Education & Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Strong understanding of commercial operations within the pharmaceutical domain, including sales, marketing, and market access.
  • Experience with Sales Forecasting methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence concepts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)

Location: South San Francisco, CA
