Job Description: Product Owner with Property & Casualty Insurance Domain
We are seeking a skilled Product Owner with extensive experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, specifically focusing on Auto, Home, and Umbrella Lines of Business (LOBs). This role requires a deep understanding of data products, agile methodologies, and stakeholder management to drive the successful delivery of data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the Data Product: Clearly articulate the scope, target users, and value proposition of data products.
- Prioritize the Backlog: Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, risk assessment, and interdependencies.
- Write Clear Requirements: Develop detailed requirements and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Stakeholder Management & Alignment: Foster strong relationships and ensure alignment among business, technology, and governance teams.
- Ensure Data Governance & Compliance: Integrate data governance principles and compliance requirements into the product development lifecycle.
- Define and Track Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators for quality, reliability, and observability of data products.
- Lead Discovery: Conduct thorough problem validation and discovery phases before scaling development efforts.
- Manage Delivery: Oversee the delivery process, ensuring sprint goals are met, incremental value is delivered, and release planning is effective.
- Drive Adoption & Change Management: Facilitate the adoption of new data products and manage the associated change within the organization.
- Own the Product Lifecycle: Manage the entire product lifecycle, focusing on continuous improvement and cost control.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Hands-on experience in executing projects using Agile methodologies.
- Proven experience in implementing Agile methodologies within Data Warehouse projects.
- Must have significant experience in handling Data Warehouse projects within the P&C insurance domain.
- Strong functional knowledge of Data Products and Snowflake.
- Expertise in managing project delivery using tools like Rally.

This is an onsite contract role located in Woodland Hills, CA, with an estimated duration of 6 months. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in P&C insurance and data product ownership.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $61 – $82 per year (Estimated)
