Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Support Analyst 3 to join our team in a remote capacity, specifically supporting state-level initiatives in Texas. This role is critical for the maintenance and optimization of the Texas Student Data System (TSDS), a complex data ecosystem used by educational agencies across the state. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of state-level data collections and have a proven track record of resolving high-priority technical issues while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Issue Resolution: Conduct in-depth research to resolve complex technical support tickets related to the TSDS. You will be responsible for prioritizing and escalating issues that require development team intervention, ensuring that data submission deadlines for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) are met without disruption.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Design, execute, and manage comprehensive UAT plans. This involves validating the functionality of new TSDS features, documenting defects, and collaborating with Product Owners to ensure that software deployments meet the rigorous standards of the agency.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation. This includes simplified promotion logic guides, software release notes, and newsletter updates. All documentation must adhere to strict accessibility requirements and agency standards.
  • Customer Relations & Outreach: Serve as a primary point of contact for Education Service Centers (ESCs) and LEAs. During peak data submission windows, you will provide proactive outreach, document reported software issues, and present findings to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project management, development, and product owner teams to align support activities with broader business goals and agency mandates.

Detailed Requirements

The successful candidate must demonstrate at least 8 years of direct experience with the Texas Student Data System (TSDS). This experience should include a thorough understanding of LEA and vendor-level data interactions. Strong communication skills are paramount, as you will be translating technical issues into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. You must be adept at training other team members and fostering a collaborative environment. Attention to detail is non-negotiable, particularly when managing technical writing tasks and software issue tracking. Preferred qualifications include a background in technical writing and familiarity with documenting complex software deployment cycles. Candidates must be local to Texas to facilitate potential in-person meetings and ensure alignment with state-specific operational hours.

Professional Impact

By joining this project, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of educational data across Texas. Your work directly impacts the ability of state agencies to make informed decisions based on accurate data submissions. This is a high-visibility role that requires a professional who is not only technically proficient but also strategically minded regarding the long-term goals of state educational infrastructure.
