Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Programmer / Systems Analyst (EDI) to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role is crucial for supporting critical state systems, focusing on interface testing, system integration, and EDI transactions. The position offers a hybrid work model, providing flexibility while ensuring collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams on MMIS & MES modules.
  • Analyze data structures and guide data mapping processes.
  • Manage interface workflows, SFTP/HTTPS file transfers, and complex integrations.
  • Lead Interface Testing, Trading Partner Testing, and End-to-End Testing initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Track execution progress, manage project schedules, and proactively communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Lead defect triage calls and ensure timely resolution across multiple vendors.
  • Prepare detailed test results, metrics, and reports for leadership review.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in system analysis, EDI, or integration testing.
  • Demonstrated strong experience with interface testing and system integration methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of SFTP, HTTPS, and various file transfer mechanisms.
  • Expertise in test planning, test execution, and effective defect management.
  • Proven experience working with multiple vendors and diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • A thorough understanding of standard EDI transactions.
