Job Title: Project/Design Engineer
We are looking for a skilled Project/Design Engineer for a 12-month contract role with potential for extensions, located in Rensselaer, NY. This is a fully onsite position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical engineering and experience working on large-scale capital projects. You will be expected to operate independently, manage changing priorities, and possess a solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute engineering projects within the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams on large-scale capital projects.
- Independently balance multiple and changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Provide engineering expertise and support for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to equipment and processes.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and reports.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical engineering experience.
- Background in pharma/life sciences industry.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Biopharmaceutical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working cross-functionally on large-scale capital projects.
- Extensive experience operating independently and balancing multiple/changing priorities.
- Understanding and/or experience working with bioreactors, WFI systems, alarms, and instrumentation.
Plusses:
- Additional experience with bioreactors, WFI systems, alarms, and instrumentation is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Location: Rensselaer, NY (Local candidates only).
- Duration: 12 months with extensions.
- Work Authorization: Visa sponsorship is accepted.
- Interview Process: One-on-one virtual interviews via Teams.
- Must be local to NY.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $55 – $75 per year (Estimated)
