Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to lead complex projects within our organization. This role requires a strong blend of strategic planning, execution, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects, managing budgets, and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Scrum Master is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of assigned projects.
- Independently perform a variety of complicated tasks, demonstrating a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Manage projects with implementations across large organizations, developing and managing project plans.
- Document and manage project risks, issues, and contingency plans effectively.
- Oversee the development of SDLC artifacts, ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications.
- Guide and facilitate the SDLC process to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Possess strong communication and presentation skills, effectively summarizing and escalating issues.
- Develop and present weekly status updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project team meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
- Manage projects using Agile methodologies, overseeing and tracking development progress.
- Ensure project assignments align with project timelines and objectives.
- Lead and drive multi-million dollar software and IT projects to successful completion.
- Implement and utilize Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Manage projects with feature-driven sprints, ensuring efficient development cycles.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Facilitate project closure activities, including lessons learned and final reporting.
- Manage project resources, including team members, budget, and equipment.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to all relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing projects with implementations across large organizations.
- Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, document risks, issues, and contingency plans.
- Skilled in analyzing and solving complex and difficult problems.
- Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with Agile methodology, overseeing development progress, and ensuring alignment with timelines.
- Experience leading and driving multi-million dollar software and IT projects.
- PMP Certification is required.
- Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for State of Texas Agencies is preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare or Public Health is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Hybrid, Candidates must be local to Austin, TX, 6 months contract, Video Interview Mode
Compensation & Location
Salary: $65 – $85 per year
