Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver critical asset management initiatives across front, middle, and back-office functions. This role is crucial for driving strategic projects that involve sales/marketing & distribution, investment operations, regulatory change, and technology transformation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the financial services domain, particularly within asset management, and have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and governance of asset management projects.
- Coordinate effectively with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure timely project delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and closure sessions.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
- Work with global delivery teams and external vendors as needed.
- Functional / Domain Skills (Asset Management):
- Deep understanding of Asset Management business processes (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office).
- Familiarity with various Investment products: Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Mutual Funds, ETFs.
- Knowledge of Portfolio management, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.
- Experience with NAV calculation, fund accounting, and performance & attribution.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., SEC, FINRA, AML, KYC, ESG reporting).
- Familiarity with common asset management platforms and data concepts.
- Agile Methodologies:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Experience in guiding teams through Agile transformations and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, business users, and technical teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build consensus and drive project success.
- Technical Skills:
- While not strictly a technical role, a foundational understanding of IT project delivery and technology transformation is beneficial.
- Experience with IT project management tools and software.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within the financial services or asset management industry.
- Proven experience managing projects related to asset management operations, technology, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- This is an onsite position requiring full-time commitment in Boston, MA.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
